What is the DWX?

The DWX takes place annually and is one of the largest and most important events for software developers in the German-speaking region. It offers around 2,500 participants numerous lectures, workshops, and networking opportunities on all current topics of software development over four days. 

When and where is the next DWX taking place?

The next DWX will take place from June 30 to July 3, 2025, at the m:con Congress Center Rosengarten in Mannheim. The exact address for your arrival is: Rosengartenplatz 2, 68161 Mannheim. 

Who is the event for? 

The DWX is aimed at software developers, IT architects, project managers, IT managers, and anyone interested in current technologies and trends in software development. Both career starters and experienced professionals will find valuable content at the DWX. 

Tickets & Registration

What ticket options are available?

We offer various ticket categories, including

  • 1 to 3-day conference ticket: Access to all main conference lectures
  • Workshop ticket: Participation in hands-on workshops
  • XL ticket: Full access to conference and workshops
  • Team tickets: Discounts for teams of 3 or more people from the same company
  • Tickets for students and trainees

Are there early bird discounts?

Yes, we offer different early bird discounts for all ticket categories at different times. You can find the current early bird deadlines and prices in the ticket shop.

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

Yes, you can transfer your ticket to another person free of charge up to two weeks before the event starts. Simply send an email with the new participant's information to our event team.

What is included in my ticket?

All tickets include:

  • Access to the booked event parts (conference and/or workshops)
  • Catering during the event (lunch, snacks, drinks)
  • Conference materials
  • Recordings of the lectures after the event (provided the speaker has released them)
  • Wi-Fi

Program & Content

What does the DWX program look like?

The exact program with all lectures and workshops will be published a few months before the event on our website. In general, the DWX includes:

  • 3 days of conference with parallel tracks
  • 1 day of workshops before the main conference
  • Keynotes from leading experts
  • Networking events in the evening

What topics are covered?

In which language are the lectures held?

Well over two-thirds of the lectures are held in German. International speakers, on the other hand, give their talks in English. In this case, the respective lecture is accordingly marked in the program.

Are the lectures recorded?

Yes, most of the lectures are recorded and made available to participants after the DWX (provided the respective speaker has agreed).

Arrival & Accommodation

How do I reach the event venue?

The DWX takes place at the m:con Congress Center Rosengarten in Mannheim. The exact address for your arrival is: Rosengartenplatz 2, 68161 Mannheim. Whether by bike, by bus and train, or by electric car - the central location of the Congress Center Rosengarten in the middle of Mannheim makes it easy for you to decide on sustainable travel. In the smart mobility map - abbreviated smap - you can see at a glance all stops, e-charging stations, and Nextbike stations near the Congress Center Rosengarten. With the smap, the CO2 emissions for your individual arrival are calculated in real-time and compared with other modes of transportation.

Arrival by Deutsche Bahn and public transport:

The tram stop "Rosengarten" in the immediate vicinity of the Congress Center Rosengarten Mannheim serves both regional traffic and takes you in a few minutes from and to the nearby Mannheim Main Station, which you can alternatively reach in a 10-minute walk!

As the second most frequented station in Baden-Württemberg, Mannheim's connection to Deutsche Bahn is optimal, offering you nationwide and international ICE connections.

Arrival by car:

Due to its central downtown location, the m:con Congress Center Rosengarten has been located in the environmental zone of the city of Mannheim since March 1, 2008. Therefore, access is only possible with an environmental badge.

For visitors traveling with an electric car, ten parking spaces with e-charging stations are available in the Rosengarten's underground parking garage.

Parking at the venue:

Paid parking is available at the venue in limited numbers, both in the Rosengarten's underground parking garage Deck A and B, as well as in the parking deck under the Dorint Kongresshotel Mannheim. The parking spaces are accessible 24 hours, and the entrance height is 1.90 meters.

Costs:

  • per started 45 min: 1.70 Euro
  • Daily maximum rate: 18.70 Euro

Special rates:

  • Night flat rate (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM): 9.00 €
  • Event flat rate (6:00 PM - 12:00 AM): 7.50 €

On Deck A of the underground parking garage, there are ten charging points for electric or hybrid vehicles. The charging stations are operated in cooperation with MVV Energie AG and can be used for an additional fee, which is paid directly at the stations. All further information and rates can be found on the MVV website.

Arrival by plane:

From Frankfurt Airport, you can take the ICE directly to Mannheim Main Station (duration approximately 30 minutes).


Are there hotel recommendations or special conference rates?

Special accommodation contingents at special conditions with local hotels are not arranged, as direct booking by participants is usually more advantageous, especially concerning cancellation options. We therefore recommend booking your accommodation yourself. There are several hotels near the event venue that can be conveniently found and booked through popular booking platforms (Booking.com, HRS, etc.).

During the event

Is there Wi-Fi at the venue?

Yes, free Wi-Fi is available to all participants. You will receive the login details during on-site registration.

What catering is included?

The ticket includes lunch on all booked event days as well as coffee, tea, water, and snacks during breaks. On the evening of the first conference day, a networking event with a buffet takes place.

Is there a cloakroom?

Yes, a supervised cloakroom is available at the venue.

Is the event accessible for people with disabilities?

Yes, the venue is accessible. For special requirements, please contact us in advance so we can assist you as best as possible.

After the event

Will I receive a certificate of participation?

Yes, all participants will receive a digital certificate of participation via email after the DWX.

How can I view the presentation slides or recordings?

All released presentation slides and video recordings will generally be made available in our participant portal 2 weeks after the DWX. You will receive the access data from us via email.

Can I provide feedback on the event?

Yes, please! We welcome your feedback to continuously improve the DWX. After the event, you will receive a link to our feedback form.

Absolutely! The DWX offers numerous networking opportunities:

  • Networking event on the first evening of the conference

How do I become a speaker at the next DWX?

If you want to participate as a speaker at the DWX, contact us. We will add you to our speaker list. As soon as the call for speakers starts, we will provide you with all necessary information. Once the call for speakers has ended, our Advisory Board will evaluate all submissions and select the conference presentations and workshops from them. Regardless of whether you were selected or not, we will inform you promptly about the result.
